Hi there. In last session, we saw how to download the eagle and install it onto your system. It This is the first video or first interaction with Eagle. So when you open eagle on your computer, this is the first window that it will offer you. So this is generally a sign in window which is offered by the Autodesk you can skip this but I would recommend that you follow the sign in. So I'll be signing in here with my email id and password.
So if you don't have an account already, you can just click on the Create Account to create the account. I do have an account so I'm just giving it here. Next, it will ask me for password. So this is my password that I put in here. And then lastly, every time we use Eagle It will ask us or whenever we log into the eagle or Autodesk, it will ask us for the OTP, which is just an additional security. And as I told you, you can always skip the entire login thing.
The login is there to secure some of your files onto the cloud. And to let know the eagle or Autodesk that you're using the software. So I prefer logging in. If you receive the SMS on your phone, you have to just put the six digit code that you have received If not, this, click on the reset button. After clicking the Send, the SMS will be against sends to a number which is registered on your account. So the code I have received.
I'm putting that code here unless we enter the code We'll be logged into the eagle invalid saying, I have received two of them. Let's try both of them. Now Once logged in to the eagle, you can see this is the home or welcome area for you. It will consist of some letters, news, and some introductory videos and all those things. This is the workspace to introduce you with it. So whatever work you do will be shown over here.
And this is your project space. So whatever the schematic you're working on, or the libraries that you might be working on, all of those things are something related to the file storage will be shown in this pane of your equal window. The very first thing we can do is just go to File menu and click on new. You can take either projects or just schematic Bold and everything. Taking up a project is much simpler, because when you create a project then you can create everything into it including schematics as well as layout. So I'll name it here first, let's say power supply.
Now my project is created, but there is nothing in my project. So what I'll need to do first is, I'll create a schematic, so just right click the project name and click on the new schematic. Once you click on the new schematic, the schematics window will open. So here is the schematics window. And here you can place all the components that you want and create your schematic. So this is the Eagles project view.
And whenever you open the schematic, a new window like this will open. So if you are creating directly a layout, then also you can just go to new and clean On board, this will open a board window. So it asks whether you want to create a board from schematic or whether you want to directly create a board, I would prefer first create a schematic and then create a board or PCB design for it. So, that's it for this session. In next session, we'll see how we can take some common components and create a schematic in Eagle
