Hi there. So far we have been generating lots of different PCBs single sided as well as double sided ones. In this session, we'll see how we can export the bill of materials of the PCB bill of material basically is the fact sheet which a soldier in person has in his hands to know what is the value of this AR to register, what is this D one What is this D two and how these things are to be connected beyond is very important from the manufacturing point of view. Whenever you are manufacturing your PCBs in house or whether you're getting it manufactured from someone with the bill of material, you don't need to look into the schematic all the time to know that he has this is one key register and this is x y Zed and so and so, so let's see how we can generate a bill of material.
To generate a bill of material go to the schematic file of your PCB and go to the File menu and just look for export. Here, you can have this B o m tap. A simple partners can also be exported, but Bo M is better, it's properly formatted. So part number, their values, the device package description, all these details are present, you know, Bo M or bill of material. You can choose whether you want a CSV file or an HTML file or a txt file, Anything will do. So if I just choose HTML, then I can view the BLM and it looks like this.
If I want, I can also save it. It will ask me for some location Let's choose downloads as a location I have opened it after 232 dot html that file is saved. If I want text, I can save it as text. Let's choose the same location downloads after two dot txt. Here is my downloads folder. So this is ft 232 dot txt the bill of material, not that properly arranged but if you look at this into a browser, then this would look a little bit better.
A CSV file also can be exported as you have seen into the options. So, that's about it. That's how you generate a Bo M for your PCB so that it becomes easier for you to manufacture or sold or those boats. Thanks for watching this video.
