Hi there. In this video, we are going to see how we can create a sub library or simply say, copy some parts which are very frequently used in number of different projects and which are present in number of different libraries into your one library so that they are accessible any time whenever you want to create a new project under your library then, so far, we have seen how to create a library of our own by going into the library section. So just follow through in this video, what you have to do is you have to open your library by clicking here into this library section. Then it will show up the libraries and here you have to select the one which is your library here. In this case, it's my library here. I just created one component here in the demo video that you have seen.
But I have added two more components in my library. And I haven't copied them from some other level. Let's see how. So go to the Add Device. You just click on Import. After clicking import, the same add components window will open up where you can choose any component that you want to add in your library.
And then just save your level. So this is the entire library open to me, what I can do is I can just search for a component for example, I'll choose a microcontroller pick 18 F 452, for example. I got that. And now I want to add this IC and the package to my library. So just click OK here. It will open that device into your library.
What you have to do next is just save your library and click Close. Double click that device Just try some other one. Let's choose the style, which is really commonly used. So let's double click that device and it opens up, what you need to do is simply click on save and close this window. Next time when you want to create or add a new part, just click Add. And in the component window that comes out, scroll down to your library.
So this is my library image here. You can see one in 4004 is added here. So just click OK. And you will be able to place that component. I hope that's also an issue whenever if you face this kind of issue, and it is also a handy tool to have all the components at one place which use frequently under you elaborate them as watching this video.
