Oh, hi there. So let's get started. With Eagle PCB designing, the very first thing we all need to do is to download the latest version of Eagle PCB software, if you have it already installed very well. Otherwise, you can just follow the steps given in this video and download it on your system. So the first thing we do is just open any browser. I'm using Google Chrome here and let's search for Eagle PCB.
When you search for Eagle PCB, you will be given with the first link of Autodesk. Autodesk is the company who is now manufacturing or taking after the eagle. So open the autodesk.com for downloading the eagle, so this is how the URL will look like for now. And this is the homepage of Eagle. Now, I don't know if you are buying the license or not. But even if you don't buy any license, you can still use the double sided version of Eagle, which is sufficient to follow this course, which is restricted in size, but it is very well enough for developing any kind of project on a small scale.
So on this page, you can see the different features of Eagle. Then there is this introductory video also which you can go through to look out for all the features of Eagle software, the latest features that they offer. To download the software, just go to free download section. And depending upon your operating system, just select one of the versions. So right now I'm using Windows and the free version of eagle is for hobbyists including to schematic sheets to layer signal and 80 square centimeter of board area well enough for developing small scale projects. This click on download for Windows, it will directly start the download of Eagle 9.2 point two.
I'm using a download manager so it's looking like this for me. In any other case it will be downloaded by the Chrome's built in downloading software. Once the software is downloaded, all we have to do is just double click this software file and install it just like any other regular software that we do. So the download is finished. And what we'll see after the download is finished is the setup file of Eagle. So this is how it looks like.
It may take a bit while to download the software depending upon the internet connection, as well as it may also take some time depending upon your system for the installation to finish. So that's the setup file. Then we are downloaded. on my PC, I have already installed Eagle. So when your download is finished, you can just start with the eagle software but I think Eagle, just look out for this app. This one is an older version, which I have.
This is the new symbol of eagle and you need to run this one. So that's about it for the installation of Eagle. In next session, let's see how the eagle software looks like and how we can start creating schematics.
