Hello, in this video I am going to cover what is XML. So XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. So it's very similar to hate amount which is Hypertext Markup Language. And XML is great for essentially grouping data together and you know, essentially sending it transporting it. So it's mainly about data. Whereas HTML is like the front end language of the web for displaying data XML, you can think of it as the sort of, you know, language of data to transport data.
So what we've got here is this will be called a root node because it's the first node that appears, and as you can see, it has a very similar format to HTML. And it's note note, you could have any, any we know that nothing in particular, then in there, there are four sub nodes with regard to from Heading and body. And you can sort of see you know exactly what it is a note to toe from journey. And like the subject, the heading in mind and the body or the main method. Don't forget me this weekend. So I will be covering this in more depth and how to implement it in separate videos.
If you watched any of my other videos, when I type HTML, you will notice that even a tag such as the breakline tag, which is that right there, I don't write like that, I write it like this, I always end up closing it and it is due to XML having to have all tags closed and when you use something like XML or x HTML, which is HTML with with XML, then that requirement is in fourth and this other just become a habit for me for for about 10 years now. So I think this is a good habit to get into and it will then change your website. In terms of running, if you don't use HTML, it's just a good sort of, you know, code install. So yeah though the last line of the thanks for watching and I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
