So now we'll come in and paint the jalapenos. jalapenos come in greens and reds. I'm going to take my smallest brush, my number one brush here and I'm going to make some green. And I think I'll do one jalapeno and red just for contrast. But I'm going to take some of this permanent green, it's a light yellow, green, and a little bit of this deep green. I'll make another spot on my palette and wish to take some of this lemon yellow, and just a little permanent green.
But it's gonna be far more yellow than green. I'll start with this section here. And I'm going to wet two of the jalapenos, and I'm going to wet the tops of these slices as well as the skin here, leaving a nice dry spot in between. I'm going to take my yellow that we mixed, and I'm going to deposit it right on those jalapenos areas, not going to do the top of the jalapenos yet. And I'm going to leave a little dry patch for a highlight off center and the jalapenos as well. Just quickly moving about here and the slices, it doesn't have to be perfect.
It's our first layer. And then while I'm here, I'm going to take this yellow on the dry paper, and on the one on the bottle, the jalapeno on the bottle, I'm going to go around the base of that jalapeno, creating that outline, leaving a little highlight and just putting in my yellow just like that. I also have one more on the title. And I'll do the same thing on dry paper with a wet brush. Again, leaving a little highlight a little dry paper. They're going to come in here with the screen that we mix and I'm going to go back to the little recipe section.
And I'm going to deposit a little bit of that pigment right on the exterior. And while it's still wet, it'll bleed nicely and blend. Again, I want to preserve that shape. And I'll do this with all of the yellow ones here that we just did. Go over the slices here. And I like the way it builds up with the yellow, a little bit of the yellow comes poking through.
And right at the base, I'm going to go over that as well. I'll take my green, go back in here, make a nice sharp point with my brush and go over our label. I'd like to leave a little the yellow showing And lastly, I'll do the same thing here with our title jalapeno. Well, it's still damp. I'll take my brush and I'll pick up some of this deep green and mix it in with the green that we already have. And I'll come back in and I'll just deposit that color right on the base and see where it bleeds.
If it doesn't move readily, I'll go in there and help that. laying the shape down in that nice rich color. Then I'll come here and do that with all these jalapenos as well. I really like the variation on this one here. Want to just preserve that shape. You can see the colors we've added Come back in with a steep color, I'm only going to go on the base of the slices.
This helps to create that shape. gives a nice little contrast to the slice and the skin. Do that over here as well. I'll do the same thing here and I'll move this paper around with the title. Once I have my colors laid out and I really like the way that looks the dip my brush Water, and just whatever green was on the palate on the brush, I'll rub it on the palate and a little section. And I'm just going to blend out at I'll introduce a little of this water just here in there to create to help this water and the pigment blend together.
I can go back in. If it's not blending, dip a little more color just to emphasize the shape and I'll let this layer completely dry.
