So now we'll work on our first layer before we start adding details. I want to finish this help you know here that's I left unpainted because I want to do it in a red color. So with my number four brush, I'm just gonna wet the jalapeno itself with a very light color. And I'll just mix a little bit of my red here. So I'll take some of this karma and read it a little this orange which is already in hue. Then I'm going to swap my brushes out and use my little brush and I'm going to create the shape of this jalapeno.
You could do all these jalapenos in whatever color you want. I like the variation. I think this red is a little pop of color. You just create that familiar shape that we're looking for. Now I'm gonna rinse my brush and I just want to work on a few little pieces here before we start our next layer. Gonna take a little this gray.
Just put it in here, with a little surly in blue. So it's still more gray than blue but it has a little element, a little blue tinge to it. And then with a dry paper, my wet brush, just going to create some splotches here of color on these labels. rinse my brush, get some clear water and blend it out. Really looking just for a shadow, of color of pigment on the label. Not even a neat shadow as long as I don't have any harsh edges, I'm very happy with the way that looks.
And I'm going to take that color and make it a little deeper dark, black. I'm going to work on this little arrow for our timer here. Create that as well. Leave a little highlight and we'll let this layer dry. When we come back, we'll start adding details and working on our title.
