When you're describing the characters in your story, bring about some complexity. If it's just a stick figure, if it's just, he's pure evil, and he beats children for fun and starves cats. It's harder for the audience to relate to that because life is complex. And there's good and bad in everyone. So if you take the time to describe flaws, as well as good aspects of the different characters, yourself included, it's going to come across as more authentic, more believable, especially when you're talking about yourself and ultimately, you did something well and something you think people can learn from. Take the time to physically describe your weaknesses, and any thing that's less than ideal make you sound more believable and more relevant.
