So we all know that we have to delete themes if we are not using them, as well as plugins. So if you're not comfortable using an FTP program, I'm going to show you a way of deleting themes. So if you go into appearance themes in the backend, you'll notice that the top here, top left, this is the one that is going to be the one you're using. And all the other themes, they should be empty unless the theme you're using here is a child theme of a theme framework here. But otherwise, you will not want to see any of these themes here. Here is an example of something that could be a vulnerability because you have a theme that should have been updated, just lying there on the server.
If there is a vulnerability in that theme, which has been patched with updates, you haven't updated because you're not using it. Then a hacker could get in and use that vulnerability to gain entrance to the site. So best thing to do with all of these things that you're not using, just click on them once, and then here, bottom right, delete, okay. And then that will just disappear. And that whole folder with all the files, providing hiding places for the hackers to put malware in will just disappear. So the whole theme folder will disappear.
If you delete from here, and you want to delete all of them. Okay, we're getting a deletion failed there, this requested thing does not exist. That will be something you now need to use the FTP for. So it's always better to use the FTP. Okay, so we've got the active theme and two themes that I've been unable to delete. So we're going to have to use the FTP
