I want to add a special mention here of fructose. Eating fructose will make you fat and unhealthy. So in addition to the insulin response, and how over time poor habits will lead to creeping weight gain, and increased struggle to lose weight, fructose will accelerate the whole process. Now fructose, particularly high fructose corn syrup, which is a cheap sweetener derived from corn. It has a far reaching effect on your health. And because it's cheap, as I said, and it's sweeter than sugar.

It's basically added to everything including commercial meat patties and processed meat to make them more palatable. Now fructose specifically accelerates the risks of insulin resistance, obesity, fatty liver, and cardiovascular disease. Because it's hidden in so many processed foods, even baby formula, we have to be especially vigilant that why is it dangerous? Well, muscles can use glucose directly for energy and others glucose 20% of the glucose is metabolized in the liver 100% of fructose has to be metabolized by the liver. And because of this overload in the liver, it leads to a fatty liver similar to alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. And this is because metabolizing fructose in the liver means it isn't directly available for your energy demands.

And it's best converted to fat. In fact, of all the carbohydrates, fructose is the most elaborate philic it's the one that is most quickly converted to fat plus, this meter by process in the liver produces oxidative stress and waste products such as uric acid, which those of you who have gotten to know is very unpleasant. So, where do I find fructose if I want to avoid it, fruit juice, fizzy canned drinks, energy drinks, breakfast cereals, commercial biscuits, cakes and pies. And even commercial ice creams, the soft serve ice creams.

Anything low fat is usually very high fructose. So that low fat yogurts jelly and you'll also find fructose as the sweet name canned fruits and gems. So that's commercial gems and Commercial sources even tomato sauce and sweet chili sauce have got quite high levels of fructose. So one needs to avoid condiments as well. agave syrup, even though it's it's suggested that it's a health food, in actual fact it's not healthy at all. And Sweeting cures also have high fructose
