Okay, so Twitter Next up is Facebook. And most companies will like a Facebook page. Facebook, of course has over a billion users, so you're likely to get some traction. Some companies might not be happy with Facebook and consider it as a sort of younger social medium. But with a billion users, it is quite general. And it's quite a good idea to start engaging with Facebook.

So in order to get a Facebook page, you go to Facebook slash pages, or if you have pages on your sidebar here, you could just click that here is recommended pages. And here is the green button saying create page so you click that and click a brand or a product and choose a category and here you choose. website and for your product name, try and choose a name, which is the same as your domain. So let's try and see if we can get creative designs. I agree to Facebook pages terms, click Get Started says our automated system will not allow the name creative designs, we have suggested creative designs, but with the lowercase D So let's try that. Great.

So that seems to have worked. It didn't like the uppercase D in the middle. So that's not the end of the world. So we need to add a basic description for creative designs. So very much like our Twitter profile 140 characters blurb, we've got another blurb here and we want to put keywords in there. But also more importantly think about human beings and what would drive people to like a page as well as explaining about what you do as a company.

So in here, put your websites and we can put in Twitter as well here is a real product or a brand and will creative designs be the authorized interface. visual representation of this product or brand save info profile picture, again, you've got a choice here, do you go for your logo? Or do you go for your beautiful happy smiley face, this needs to be over 180 pixels wide. And obviously, it's going to be a square picture. So this time, I'm going to get the logo. So I'm going to use that as from the logo for the profile picture.

And there is our creative designs page. I'm going to like that. And you can invite your email contacts. Of course, it may not be a case that everyone you went to school with wants to like your business page. But then again, that is a good way of getting likes initially for your new Facebook page. This is where you make a post on your timeline.

So you can just say welcome to my new Facebook page and post that but obviously, Facebook's updates tend to work better if they have photos or at least contain interesting links. Now since almost a year ago, Facebook has been giving us a large error. here for the timeline header image, and in order to add that header image or cover, you go down here where it says add a cover, and here you can upload photo. And what you want to get here is a photo of 851 pixels by 315 pixels. So it's quite a wide landscape image. So there is my Facebook cover photo, which is 851 pixels by 315 pixels wide.

Usually go for an illustrative photo here because there are so many rules that you have to follow in Facebook that you can't use an image that says like this on it, or anything like that. So there is our Facebook page. Best way to deal with Facebook pages is trying to get as many likes as possible. But make sure that genuine likes no point in buying hundreds of likes because the people won't be engaged. And there'll be just very little mark him opportunity. So the way to get organic likes is to get people to like it through Facebook and the only way to do that is to share it with your friends or with your Facebook groups etc or to put a Facebook Like Box on your website so people who are coming to your website who decide they like it can just click like on your website and then they'll appear as a like on the Facebook page and get the updates of your Facebook page in their Facebook feed.

I'll show you how to do that. Now there's several ways of doing this. One way would be to load a WordPress plugin if you go to the plugins and search for Facebook lightbox you have few options of plugins you can activate and widgets you can use to do that. Another option is just to use the Facebook code on the Facebook site. And to do that you just Google Facebook lightbox and@developers.facebook.com here is the lightbox developer code And what you got to do is put in your Facebook URL there. So let's get that.

Put that in. And here you can decide on the width of your lightbox, you can decide whether you want to show faces, whether you want to show the stream and that will show your latest Facebook posts and whether you want to show the header and then you can click get code. And there's various options for the code html5, X, FB, ml, iframe, and URL. I usually try the iframe, all you need to do is copy that and go into your back end, creative designs WP admin and go into appearance widgets. And drag a text widget over to the primary sidebar and paste in that code that we just copied from Facebook developers can then go back to your sites and there is your Facebook lightbox. As you can see, I'm going to have to go into the CSS and get rid of this large gray background.

But that won't be too difficult won't take me too long. I'll show you if I log out of Facebook and then I refresh the page there you can see the like button is active. So all anyone would have to do would be to click on that like button. And I'll get two likes at the moment. I've only got one life, but this is what I did with my website, Rob cabin calm, I really didn't do anything to get any likes. I've now got 429 likes and that doesn't sound very much.

But Facebook is great because people tend to go on it every day. There's a billion people on there. So I find that anything that I post up on Facebook, get some sort of engagement and traction. So it is quite a powerful marketing tool. I would very much recommend most clients and most businesses to get a Facebook like page. Okay, I'll leave it there.
