In this lesson, you're going to learn how to ski. So skiing is just how you get around the mountain. And it's based on those flat spots, it can really help you to move along if you ever get stuck. So what you want to do is take this back foot, it's free, and you're going to place it next to the front painting, and just gonna have a little push towards the back painting. And repeat. Now be careful you don't go too far.
Otherwise you may end up doing the splits there. So we'll look at doing over the heel edge First of all, and then we'll have a little look at the top edge. Awesome team. Now that you're comfortable skating with that heel edge, let's try it over the toe edge. So there's two ways to skate. It's a bit like tomato tomahto.
Personally, I prefer skating with my feet behind the heel edge. It's okay if you like the two edge so with the two edges going to take this free foot and this time step over the front of the board, and it's the exact same as before, we're just going to take a nice little push towards that back painting and repeat. Some common current positions that can happen when you're first learning how to snowboard that will really inhibit your ability to improve are being broken at the waist, or counter rotated with a snowboard who your shoulders are out of alignment with your hips and the board.
