Creating and installing a Facebook tracking pixel. The facebook pixel is a small piece of tracking code that will help you to follow the actions of your website visitors, so you can target them with hyper focused ads on Facebook. In this lesson, we're going to teach you how to easily create a facebook pixel with a few clicks of your mouse, as well as how to install it on your website, step by step creating a facebook pixel. Start on the ads manager dashboard. Now click on the main menu icon in the top left, and then click on the pixels option under measure and report. Now click on the add new data source button and select facebook pixel.
Enter a name for your new facebook pixel and the pixel Name field and click on Create. Your new facebook pixel is ready. Now you have to install it on your website, installing the facebook pixel on your website. Start by clicking on the setup pixel button on the facebook pixel page. There are three ways to install a facebook pixel on your website. You can use an integration or Tag Manager such as the Google Tag Manager, you can manually insert the code yourself, or you can mail instructions to a developer that can install it for you.
In this lesson, we're going to show you how to manually add your new facebook pixel to your website. Start by clicking on manually install the code yourself.
