Hello, this is Rob coven, I'm going to take you through the process to create an audio book. So this is the third of your three formats of your Amazon title. First is Kindle. Second is paperback. And now we're doing the audio book. And this is possibly the easiest step of the whole process.
So you go to ac x.com and set up an account. Of course, again, this will be linked to your Amazon account. And I'm already logged in. And now I'm going to go add your title, and then it will show me all the books that are linked to my Amazon account. So I'm going to choose one of those and here you've got three options. I'm looking for someone to narrate and produce my audio book.
I already have the audio files for this book and want to sell it. I want to find out how to narrate this book and upload files later? Well, if you really want to do it yourself, you can. And I know a lot of people who do this, it's very beneficial to read out your book. Remember, you should be reading it out anyway because you always spot typos when you do this. However, I No, I am not going to be very good at narrating my own audiobooks.
So I choose this option and agree and continue to the T's and C's. So I've added some copyright information there. And I've put my book as nonfiction and business. And now I'm going to describe my ideal narrators voice. And I go for British General British as what I believe my accent is. And you can put additional comments and an audition script.
So I've taken some words from The text of the book, I can see that there's less than 2000 words here by going to tools word count. So I've copied those words, I'll paste them into a text, document and upload, Save and Continue. How many words are in your book, word count 24,700. And that will result in a book that's 2.7 hours, world trek territory rights. Now you can choose one or both of the following. So far, I have done the royalty share, which is great because it means none of this will take any time or cost me any money, and I make money from it.
You could pay for production, and then you'll make more per unit that's sold. But if you're not sure how many you're going to sell, then I'd go for the royalty share. Do you think you're going to sell a lot I don't know would be about 10 units a month, regularly or even more than that, then pay for production and go through the exclusive distribution. Because that's a greater royalty and save and continue. And what happens then is loads of voiceover specialists will then offer you samples. You listen to the mall and choose one that you like.
And then within a couple of weeks, you'll get an audio book done. The only thing you need to do is provide artwork for that cover there, but it needs to be square. So you need to redesign your cover in a square format. That's it. And I very much would recommend you do this with all your books. My name is Rob carbon.
I'll see in the next video.
