Hello, my name's Rob carbon. Now we all know the importance of creating ebooks, Kindles to grow your business and build your personal brand. But what about a paperback book? Do we all need to produce paperback books as well? Yes, we do. And I'll tell you why it's just as important as creating a Kindle book.
And it's really very easy. You go to create space COMM And there you can download the templates and upload PDFs for the interior and the exterior and fill in all the same details as you would do for your Kindle. And there you will have a paperback book connected to your same Kindle book of the same title on amazon.com. Why should you do this? There are many many reasons why this is a good idea. Firstly, not everybody is familiar with Kindles or ebooks they are not using To reading ebooks, they like to read a proper paperback book that they can have in their hands.
And that's the way they are. And you should provide a product for these people. So that's one thing. Secondly, it looks better, quite frankly, to have different versions of your Kindle book. If you just have a book that in a Kindle version on amazon.com does it really look professional? I think it's better to have that book in Kindle paperback and audio format.
All three, if you can. Certainly, the paperback would be the second best after the Kindle. Thirdly, it's a great business card. I was in a conference one day, and I was talking to a guy who had a very successful podcast for five minutes. And at the end of our conversation, he said, Look, do you have a business card? What's your name?
So I can look you up when I get hard. I said, Look, here's my book. You can Google this name when you get back home, and you will find me. And we can connect later. So I gave the guy the book. He went home, read it on his way home.
And the next thing I knew, he was emailing me asking me to appear on his podcast, very successful podcast. And of course, people who then heard me on that podcast, if they liked what I had to say, they would look me up online, hopefully sign up for one of my free offers, I'd get their email address, and then somewhere down the line, I could sell them a product. And this would work if you're selling services, or if you're a consultant, or whatever type of business you're in. writing a book on Kindle is great, but having a paperback is fantastic, and possibly even better. And certainly in terms of the kudos You online. So as I say, goes to create space comm This is the company that's wholly owned by Amazon, you upload it.
And I will show in other videos how you can download templates and produce your paperback version and how you can outsource it if you want to. Very easy to do. And once you've done that at CreateSpace, after you've produced the Kindle on KDP amazon.com, you have to wait a couple of days for Amazon to realize that the book of the same title is available both in on Kindle and on paperback. And you will see on your listing the option for customers to buy either one. So it really is a win win. It doesn't cost you a lot.
It doesn't take a lot of time. And at the end of the day, you've got your own book with your own name written on it. And I just think that's one of the best things you can do.
