Hey, this is Dr. Day. And welcome to Module Three. It's one of my favorite modules, because we're going to be talking about food. We know that the food that we eat causes our blood sugar fluctuations, right? It also can impact the inflammation pathways that we learned about in module two. So this is a really important module because it is going to teach us how to eat the right foods that we can continue to eat for the rest of our lives.
So much fun. This module is actually broken up into a couple different sections. We'll look at carbohydrates, we'll look at proteins and we'll look at fats. And we'll see how each one of those has a category and foods that fall into the category. You will also have handouts that will summarize the videos and will give you a little bit of an exercise to help stimulate your ideas about what you could possibly do to start to change your diet. And then after we finish that, you're actually going to learn about what a healthy plate looks like.
So you will know this is what a healthy plate looks like. We have a handout for that as well. And then finally, we have a seven day eating plan everyone, for people that want to be plant based, and I have another for people that want to eat some animal proteins along with their balanced plate, you get to decide and choose which one is best for you. So there you go. At the end of this module, not only will you have information, but you will have your seven day plan that you can start implementing as we move into the next module, which will be on exercise. You might actually find out that you love Things that you did not know that you liked before. This is an experiment with creating new habits that are gonna last you a lifetime.
