Whenever we eat any type of food that's considered a carbohydrate. So whether that is a fruit or a vegetable or a grain, it actually requires insulin 100% of insulin in order to get that glucose to be deposited into ourselves so we can use it as energy. But when we eat proteins, proteins actually only require about 50% insulin in order to be deposited into ourselves.

Well, when you're planning a meal, you want to make sure that you're not eating all carbohydrates. So you don't want to eat a bagel with jelly, that's 100% carbohydrate. But if you decide instead that you're going to eat a better balance, so for breakfast, you may decide instead that you're going to eat some vegetables and you're going to mix that up with an egg and make an omelet.
And that you are going to use a little bit of olive oil to cook that. Now all of a sudden, you're using carbohydrates and protein and a little bit of fat and that combination is a much more stable combination for you. balance your blood sugars. So you can see that it's not only important to know what you eat and what foods you're eating, but it's also important to create a balance if you want. So, I hope that that was a great tip for you.
