As you may remember, testimonials, increase conversions. Whatever the product you sell testimonials from happy customers will help you sell more of that product. And also, the higher the price of the product yourself, the more social proof you would need. See, it would be next to impossible to sell a $2,000 course or program without a single testimonial from a happy customer. All things being equal here. I'm talking about people like you and me, people on our level, not the top 10 social media influencers, but hey, even they use testimonials.
And there is a reason for that. It's very simple, because testimonials work. See, I'm gonna be honest with you. Marketing and copywriting is not an easy job. You need a lot of skills to see good results but honestly, even if you're not that good Have a copywriter or marketer, you would still be able to achieve great results. If you apply the concept of social proof.
Getting your clients results speaks volumes, showing new prospects. These results will make the sale way, way easier. Now, my favorite form of social proof is a short in genuine video testimonial. Let me give you an example. So about a couple years ago, I graduated from college and I got my degree in exercise and sports science. Well Did I know when I got out, I would need to have certain sales and marketing skills that I currently didn't possess.
So one of the skills I needed to learn and probably the most important one was copywriting. And so I said, copywriting You know what, what is that? I've never even heard of that before. That one day I discovered Vladimir's copywriting course and You know talking about headlines and body copy and the the psychology behind how to write copy you know how to you know really understand your customers. And by the end of the first month of taking Vladimir's course, I was able to write over a 1000 word sales copy with absolutely no previous background experience which was huge and it helped my business and my personal brand dramatically. In fact, a funny story.
I even sold my old college car which is over 11 years old and I sold it for top dollar using a lot of the sales tactics and copywriting skills that I've learned in Vladimir's course. Again, Vlad came in handy. He really helped me out a lot and I couldn't have done it without him. However, sometimes you would achieve great results for a person and they would be camera shy. So you've got two options here first, don't give up you deserve that testimonial option number one You ask them to record their voice only no video. Then you include the voice recording in your sales video and insert a picture of the person speaking.
Now I want to play an example for you. Hi everyone. My name is Georgina Taylor and I'm an independent content marketing consultant. I recently completed Vladimir's marketing psychology masterclass after having previously taken his copywriting masterclass, and a couple of his personal development courses. Like all of Vladimir's courses, the marketing psychology masterclass consisted of highly actionable no fluff training. Option number two, you ask for a written testimonial.
And then you read it out loud. Again put a picture of the person name in location. Here's another example. This is simply amazing. So much valuable information in one place vitamins should give lectures marketing lectures on university I mean honestly, I never got this much information in marketing classes when they study For my degree, totally, totally recommending to anyone who wants to learn from real and legit experts in the field. See how it's done. If you don't have any testimonials, just go ahead and give them to someone for free as an exchange for an honest video testimonial. And that also applies to coaching to masterminds done for you services you name it. Remember, first you asked for a video testimonial. If that's not possible, ask for voice only in finally invoice is not an option as well as per written testimonial. So the biggest takeaway from this video would be to make it a habit to ask for a testimonial.
If you've helped someone get awesome results, you should see that is an opportunity. I promise this will increase the effectiveness of your marketing and copywriting efforts. Big time. quick recap.
