So in this lecture, we're going to do some coloring. As I said, I don't use a whole big palette of color, I basically use a very few number of pencils and pastels, and I layer those colors together. And the colors that are used most often are various shades of green, red, orange, yellow, purple, brown, black and blue. When I'm coloring, I don't want to have a real sharp line, I want to have a soft, broad line to this where I can get nice, even strokes across my paper. So when I want to call out, I want to have sort of a chisel point. So I'm going to take the pencil and literally just call a very hard on side until I get a blunt point to this.
And then when I'm coloring, all of it is done is a downward stroke of a pencil. It's literally quick stroke, lift stroke, lift That gives me a nice soft look to this with the pastels are used q tips and cotton to help blend it together. So what you do is to scrape a little bit of the pastor over the area that you need to color. And then you come in and using the cotton swab and get a nice soft blended color art of this. So in the next lecture, we're going to color one of the previous plans, and I'll show you how to use a solid color and then blend colors together to get the effect that we want. So I'll see you there
