In this lesson we're going to take a look at the opening solo licks in Chuck Berry solo in down the road apiece Matt Murphy plays. Check plays can really tell when chalk plays it's just pure check in the key of E flat, and E play something like this. Really nice. So we're combining this lag and then we've got one of the descending ascending double stop licks. So he starts out the solo and he plays this, you know, typical equi he's got his finger planted on the 11th fret, second and third strings hammering on to the 12th fret. Double stop right now listen to the original Tim Coming back to the 13th fret before going to this double stop 11th fret first and second strings 1213 1211 just goes, goes up comes back down just like that.
So let's do the whole thing again slowly. It goes ahead and plays really neat. So listen to that. He does a lot of double stops, the whole Solo is basically double stops combined with that opening leg one more time. That's the part I always liked. And that's a good example of a descending ascending double stop thing.
So that is the opening cellar lick that Chuck Berry plays and down the road a piece and that's in the key of E flat.
