Our next song intro is for Chuck Berry's 13 question method. And this is one of his most unique guitar introductions. It's in the kids see, and it goes like this. I'll play it for you one time, then we'll figure out what he's doing. And then he goes into the song to one of his more underappreciated songs. And the way he does this, he's gonna start off each phrase with a slide from the 20th fret on the first string, down the neck, it's in C. So he starts out With this so this is a shape C chord, I'm picking it three times.
I'm using all downstrokes. And then we're going to use these double stops and that pattern and slide into a C double stop on the second and third strings eighth and ninth frets. So we got the timing on that the high string thing, slide on the first string or something like this. Two, three, the first couple times he does it on the four. So I start by counting when I do this slide 123 and then I do that so we got this 2323 like that. The second like he's going to go over the four chord which is a G and we're just starting with this G Double stop third and fourth strings are third and fourth frets second and third strings takes it twice.
Fifth fret into the seventh, that would be a G seventh on the sixth and seventh frets of the third string. So we got this. You can play it like that or use the same two fingers, however you do it. And when you do that slide, that's your one. So it's like this. Two, three.
But the second time he does it, the last time he does it is kind of tricky. So let's take it from the start. So we got this. Three, three. The second time he plays here, he only does it twice. I may have played it wrong the first time around.
And that's it, it's just double stop. So with that slide thrown in, it can be a little tricky to play. Very different, different than all other, all of tech, various other introductions. Let's do one more time slowly and I'll count it out. So you can follow that. of C
