Lesson number 93, we're going to take a look at a really kind of bluesy lick that Chuck uses and his version of the things I used to do in the key of E. And when he starts to solo, he's playing this lick over the first position blue Xbox, the high blue spot. So here's our first position he, he's playing on the 12th to 14th frets and he opens up with this, let kind of like this, the 14th fret of the third string, and then he's getting either the 12th fret of the first string, or both the first and second string. So we got a couple varieties here, we got this or we can go to the second and the first First and Second. And if you listen to that, mix it up, you could just get the double stops in there but when he opens up the things I used to do, it's the band's you can double up on the 12th fret of the second string.
Stuff like that. All kinds of different things. So that lick mess around with that and listen to his the way he starts off the solo. The things I used to do. He has a song, song on a later album called bio The song is called talking about my buddy, and he plays that he flat he just takes that same lick idea and he flattened opens the song with something like this. Same idea.
So you can play around with that. And that's one that he uses to kick off the things I used to do. So that is Example number 93.
