Alright guys, we've just gone through work history, and professional experience or work experience. And so now we're going to go through what you would call extracurricular activities. And so in this section, like we've mentioned lecture, it's all about showing above and beyond what you do outside of work. Okay? So things like what you might do in the community, volunteer experience, ongoing training, you're doing, for instance, Toastmasters public speaking club, excuse me, the front language that you're learning in competitive sports that you do as well. So these are all extracurricular activities that might look really good on your resume that paint some kind of picture.

Okay. So for instance, We're going to go through Michael Smith again. Good old Michael. So during his university years, he was the treasurer of a largest non federal social club. Okay, so this place is a social club, you manage the budget, he was a treasurer obviously had to, you know, candle the money, make sure all the accounts were in order, bank reconciliations journal entries, bookkeeping, and he would have had the past a university order as well. So this looks great in resume.

So if you don't have any experience, let's just say you're in university right now, this is a great way to get experience on your resume that's extremely relevant for the field that you might be going to either in accounting or in finance, make sure you do it. So for instance, in this case, this is obviously made up fraternity, Alpha Gamma University of London. This how I like to outline it is depends on your experience. If you have a really big volunteer experience, for instance of Treasurer I almost put it as a work experience. I'm going to quickly show you my resume. Just to show you what exactly what I did when I was applying for my jobs a few more few years ago now, personal resumes cover letters.

All right. All right, wrong one. Okay. Fail. All right. So for instance, in university, this is one of the ones I'm looking at now, in university.

I was the president of a club called ASEAN, so associate of Southeast Asian Nations club, it was, I think, the largest non faculty club. And so this is my responsibilities and this is my achievements. So if you were involved in something for a long period time and you achieve really good things, so during my time there I thought I achieved some decent things for my age. So you want to put them in there. So in this case, I was a bit of a newbie. So I probably should have bolded some of this stuff, for instance, established new member recruitment strategies resulting improve relations with customers or members and increase the member numbers by philippson and event participation, participation by 20%.

Implementing new website, new branding. So, these are just examples of what you can do with your extracurricular activities. For instance, I have another one as a part of the YMCA. So the risk fundraising acquisition subcommittee I in those particular dates. Yep. So I would I wouldn't put anything this is for a specific church level resume.

So I would never put this into a professional resume. So unless I was applying for a church job, for instance, but this in this particular case, I was applying for a job that's why I put it in there. Okay, just example. So now let's go back to other things. So let's just say you were volunteering at the Salvation Army as a retail store assistant. He's just an example what you might do Salvation Army, say Melbourne, my hometown.

Not for profit organizations specializing. Yep. So you might say, retail assistance. So that I would salvation Click on that. bolt that bolt that making sure they're consistent. Copy and Paste.

Yeah. Make sure the bullet points are good. Let's have a look at some of the roles and responsibilities that a volunteer might have. shop assistant. Well, that's a terrible job description. Okay, that didn't turn out very well did it Alright, let's have a look at this one.

That's probably the same thing, isn't it? Yes, it is. Okay. So what I might do then is if that that doesn't have retail shop assistant, clothing. job description. So yeah.

So this will be really similar to what you might do. Here we go. Yep, that's what you would do is copy some of that. Paste and fill it out. This gives you a framework and some ideas. So you would click the Format button again guys right there.

Ensure that all your formatting is correct. Okay, then turn out exactly as planned. Do it again. Just format one. Make sure you cover it all. And it didn't work, right?

Yep, you got to maintain store condition that is visually pleasing and maintain a fully stocked stock. Okay? Pretty straightforward guys. So you want to do that for your relative volunteer experience, whatever it may be. I don't want to keep showing you how to do this. I think it's self effective.

Is similar to what we did here. But you want to do it for your volunteer jobs. And let's just say you you have a course for instance, or you're doing Toastmasters, you can do the same thing. You can say, toast, Masters public speaking public speaking club. leaders. public speaking, one could say, speech craft costs for instance, just one often to 12 to 15 individuals for eight weeks on a variety of topics.

Prepared speeches, improvise. That's the example. So you would let's just say you won an award. Most Award 2017 partl Club. There you go. Pretty simple guys unbolt that then you're good to go.

So that's an example. And obviously within this when you want to use these words like presented is a good word and you might want Add some other things in there as well communication. Your pre prepared, pre prepared attention to details or improvise, pre prepared or improvise speeches and improving communication skills. And once again, if you highlight this, that's another thing that your job advertisement might actually have as well. So very, very important guys to in this particular section you want to do activities similar, I guess format to your work experience. And if you're particularly if your achievements are quite impressive, you want to add in that extra achievement section as well like I did in my resume.
