Okay, here we are at the final section of this core lesson on networking. We're going to talk about the mystery question answer. If you remember, currency is money or other medium use to buy or sell something, specifically a medium of exchange. Remember, information is the currency of today. Trust is the currency of leadership and attention is the currency of social networks. What was my mystery question?
It was, what is the currency of effective networking? So did you come up with an answer? Any guesses whatsoever? Well, if you recall, Keith Razi, he said, quote, unquote, I learned that real networking was about finding ways to make other people more successful. In essence, helping others become successful helps you become successful. The more People you help, the more help you'll have.
And the more help you'll have helping others. Sounds like a tongue twister, doesn't it? But the idea is to help others, it all comes back to you in the end. So in other words, the currency of real networking is generosity. In networking, you want to find ways to help others and not just help them in simple ways. Help them generously.
So keep that in mind the next time you're networking. And if you want to get even more serious about networking, get a copy of this book. It's fantastic. I'm sure you can find it on Amazon, or possibly your local bookstore. And don't forget to become the teacher. Go over these worksheets with a friend or a family member.
Encourage someone to contact someone they admire or encourage someone to join or even start their own networking club. You help others network, then who knows, you might find out that you yourself are becoming a fantastic network here as well. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, again, this concludes another one of our core lessons. I hope you found value in this particular exercise over networking. Remember, networking is a fantastic way, not only to meet new and interesting people, but to build a wealth of knowledge that comes back to you in the end. Okay, see you for our next lesson.
Talk to you soon.
