Welcome back to 20 moves in 20 days, today, we are going to actually learn a pure wet preparation and even try a single period that I'm really excited about today. This is one of those steps that I know a lot of people really are excited to try. So it's going to take some patience. Make sure that you have a lot of grace for yourself as you're learning. But it is super fun. And the more that you do it, the more confidence you'll build, the easier will be come.
So just again, make sure that you give yourself a lot of grace as you're learning. Alright, so we're actually going to start off with pure wet prep by doing something we already know. So we're going to do two pot of braids, we're going to step and prep and then we're going to just do a sort of like a pure wet prep motion or movement. So what I'm actually going to do is travel sideways because that's gonna be the easiest way to kind of do a few in a row. So what we do About our pop race are we gonna do two of them to start, so we're going to go back, side, front, and again back side, front. And from here, what I'm going to do is bring my back leg up to a red to a position where my toe is touching my knee, or as close to my knees, I can in a completely parallel position so my toes and knees and everything is in line this way, right?
And from here as well, I'm going to try to be up on balance on my Demi point on my left foot. So from here, I'm going to push up and then come back down. Okay, that's all it is. So let's back up. We have potty break, back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down. And back, side, front, back, side, front, up.
Up and down again, back, side, front, back, side, front, up and down. Good. Alright. So, some things to think about. We'll do it to the left in just a second. But some things to think about are and one of the things that sometimes trips people up is which foot do I bring up with the rhetoric or the pier?
What prepositions. So I like to think about it in terms of, again, I'm traveling to the right. So my primary focus is going to be on my right leg. I've just unpure what right or I'm sorry, particular a right and left. So I'm going to bring up my primary leg, which in this case is my right, and that is going to be my position. The other way to think about it is consider that you've just done to put a brace.
Let's do this together. back, side, front, back, side, front. From here, you could shift back right and bring The other leg, but it's a lot more transition of where your body weight is, then if from here, all you're doing is bringing that right leg up, which you shouldn't have a lot of weight in anyway, at this point to just bring it up, and then coming straight back. So again, back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down. back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down. Now, another thing you want to think about is making sure that your toe and your foot, your ankle, everything is fully pointed here, nice and squished together, right right here.
So you want to be careful that it doesn't start flattening out. You don't do kind of wonky things with your ankle, it's just all very straight, my toes connected as best that it can. Alright, let's try to the left. So, I'm heading to the left, my left leg starts out. That's my prep and I'm Gonna bring that one back to start. So I go back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down, back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down.
Again, back, side, front, back, side, front, up and down. Good. Nice table positions are really something that's probably the most challenging aspect of pure wet. So you want to try to think of everything stacking up really nice and tall. So your head, shoulders, shoulders over hips, and everything is just kind of one straight line as best as you can. So you want to avoid a lot of the wiggly wobbly sort of waviness that sometimes happen.
And just try to think that from this position, right before I go into my pure wet I need to think really nice about how everything goes. sucks up and down. Yeah, that's really precise. Again, Alright, so let's do one more time to the left and it will actually try a turn or two. So we go back side front, back side front Piro what prep and down and 123123, up and down. 123123 up, and good.
Okay, now we're going to practice a single pair wet. So everything about what you've done so far is the same. You're still gonna have your toe to your knee, everything's gonna be nice and parallel. You're just rotating that position now. So I always try to think about it as we have the same leg. Everything goes right essentially.
So if my right leg is up in my retrograde position, I'm going to turn towards my right shoulder, everything is going to be right, right, right, right. Okay, so we're just gonna practice doing A couple times. So everything starts right we go, pottery back, side, front, back, side front. From here, I'm going to bring this foot up and I'm going to do a single turn, and lambda right back to where I started. back, front, back, front, single and down. back, side, front, back, side, front, single and down.
Good. Okay, you can do the same thing to the left. Ready, back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and back, side, front, back, side, front, up, and down. back, side, front, back, side, front, up and down. Good. So, again, with a pure wet, what they take is practice.
So I would encourage you to practice them a lot. Try to practice them. On a daily basis, try to find a service that's not super slippery. Otherwise end up falling. That's no fun. But I'm trying to find a service that has a little bit of a tackiness, or something like that where you can kind of practice the different techniques.
The prepping aspect, though, is really helpful. Because the more that you learn to just balance and hold a really good referee balance, the easier the turns are going to end up. The more that you can think about everything coming together, sucking up, again, that motion of everything just going kind of dipping up, the easier it's going to be when you turn and just think very calm about the term. You just it doesn't need to be a crazy whip around action. It's just very, like you're floating and down. Think about this in this theme, sort of cadence that you would think about the prep.
When you say you have part of boring partible re pinned down. Right. Thank you With a turn portable or a portable, right, up and down, so the only thing that changes is a turn because we don't want you to kind of get in your head about it. Just think it's just a very light little turn. Whoa rotation comes straight back down. Good work.
That's your pure wet and pure wet prep. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
