The next tune that we're going to learn and the key fob is an instrumental by lightnin Hopkins called Annie's Boogie. And I think the best way to teach this is to go through it verse by verse. So what I'm going to do here is play the instrumental in its entirety. One time through and then we'll take it apart verse by verse and figure out what's going on. This is one of my all time favorite lightning Hopkins songs. And it's also a great tool to practice and learn a lot of the different little tricks you can use.
So here is Annie's bookie by lightnin Hopkins. Whoo, that's a lot. That's a fun song to play. That's Annie's Boogie. by lightning Hopkins, I had a couple places where I think I didn't play it as smoothly as I could have. But that is good enough.
I think that gets you, you know, getting a feel for what we're going to be playing here. The chords in Andy's Boogie are really pretty simple. I got an E. And every now and then we're gonna go to the east seven. We've got an A seven. And then as expected in the key of D. We've got a V seven and All the different little licks that were playing throughout this instrumental are all played in one of the various what are called e positions mainly over this first E major quarter first position E chord, but we're also going to go up on the neck a little bit, and play some really cool single string rounds in the solo and some other fun stuff. So this is a really fun song to play.
And if you're not a singer, like me, I'm not a singer, then these instrumentals are, are really fun to play. So when I come back, let's get started with verse one.
