In this module we will take a look at a type of scale. That is one that is five notes long, and one that has seven notes. For example, the G major scale Dan has seven different notes, G, A, B, C, D, E, F sharp, those are the seven different notes and then it ends on G. This G to this gene is called an octave. scales are important to learn because they're used in all All sorts of melodies for example, Ode to Joy that comes right out of the G scale, or Jingle Bells. So you can see the scales are pretty much the building blocks of melodies and solos and so on. So let's jump to lesson two where we will begin to learn about the G pentatonic scale.
