Now we will take a look at three riffs or short melodies that you can play using the E minor scale. I'll play the first one for you. Pretty straightforward. So see if you can play along. Start with your middle finger on the second fret of the D string, which is an E note. And then you can play the open D string and then play the note again.
Just like that. You do that a few times. In the right hand, I'm just picking down at this point. Practice that a few times once you get comfortable with it. Let's go to the next one. Next Next one starts off on the high E string.
I'll just play it first. So, see if you can follow high E string. Then third fret on the B string, which is a D note, an open B string, D note again, practice that one a few times. Once you're comfortable with that, here's the third one. That's a pretty cool one here. I'll show you nice and slow.
Second fret on the high Eastern which is an F sharp which is a G to F sharp and then D on the D string back to E. Once you're comfortable learning those three riffs, head over to the next lesson, and we'll learn how to solo through the key of E minor chord progression.
