Hello, everybody, welcome to the second dashboard. In this video we will see how to assign markers to a map. So let's see which chart we can use to create a map for creating a map, we'll go to Insert, then scatter chart. And here we will use the first one. So Once selected, it is this scatter chart, we have it ready, and we'll just position it where we want it. So that should do it for me.
So just increase the height a little bit, just for a better view. And there we have it. Now, to put the map into the scatter chart, we'll first we'll go to the internet and we'll find a particular link. And we'll just copy that into any kind of software that allows you to copy the image. I've used snippet to select the frame. Copy it, so just let it be on the clipboard and now how to get the image from the clipboard into the chart.
That's what I'm going to show you. So just right click on the chart and select chart, format chart area where you can get a paint bucket and then you can actually select a blank with no fill, they would be transparent, but we want the one that has pictures or texts. So just click on the current which by default, shows a pattern. Here we have an option that says from clipboard, just click on clipboard, and there it is. Now the map is placed into the screen. Now if we need to do any modification, we can do it over here by cutting, cropping or we can edit it in Photoshop or maybe another application used for editing.
Once done, just close this panel and there it is, a map is ready for the chart. And once we have this done, we just have to plot the data which we'll be seeing in the next video. Till then keep practicing. See you in the next video. Thank you
