Hello everybody, welcome to the second dashboard. In this video, we will learn how to create the scroll bar. As you can see here, if I drag based on the selection that I make I do get a relevant result the bar is presented over here and we'll see another so let's see how to make these particular bars. First, I'll just delete this. So as we already know, we have a sequence of numbers already provided over here. So the minimum number was two.
So I'll keep it as it is. So that is also presented now first, we go to the developer tab, and right click on any of the existing tabs, customize the ribbon. From the given list, just come to customize ribbons and activate Developer tab. And once done, click OK automatically the developer tab will appear and after that go to the Insert option and from there is a spin button that is actually just like an elevator button. That's not the one we are Looking for we're looking out for the scroll bar, select the scroll bar, and just place it somewhere out here for now and just let it currently, it's not yet alive. First, we have to link it to the data to this number two, and the cell eight, because the rest of the data is interlinked directly, just right click on the object format controls and it's a self explanatory box where we just require the values, we cannot have one, so we'll go with to the minimum value should be to the max Let it be 100 even though we know it's wrong data, but let's see what we get.
Interval should be one and the page changer that can be okay page changes like one click how much data should be changed if it's a page and the cell reference should be which cell It is so selecting a in this case and click OK. As of now, nothing much changes. But as I click out, it gets activated. And now if I scroll down the Number changes based on the number I do get the relevant result. Now let's see what happens if I go to 100. As we can see, there are lots of errors over here. Now that's because this formula does not understand error.
So we have to keep level or limited to a 103. That is the last criteria in our data, it will not expand. So the last record that we see here should be 103. So that the last number over here rather than 100, it should be 97. That means the number of records should not be more. As you can see, nine records are extra.
So make the maximum number 97. We just play around with the data. And accordingly we can run 97 is not yet so let's make it 93 that should do the work. And the earliest 98 should be the last so if I put in one Actually, let's try 94 just punching the number. Now yeah 94. So it should be 94 rather than 93.
Now you can try it out. It's a trial and error. So feel free to alter. Now once done, simply select the whole column. It should not be visible when we placed the data, so we'll call it white. Now we'll keep it transparent.
So simply place it the controller here on the left and align it accordingly. So there it is. Once done now we have a scroll bar which controls the data. And we can also set which country we're looking for which currency that is, in which year we are looking for. Isn't that fascinating? Now in the next video, we will add a small chart that will represent data that we require.
And then we'll also plot a map and then average the end results or the one user will define Till then keep practicing. See you in the next video. Thank you
