Hello everybody welcome back to the second dashboard. In this video we will plot the data on the chart that's on the map that we have created. To do. So, first we have to verify the data. So here the longitude will be put up in the x axis and the latitude will be put in the y axis. The percentage of number of employees will determine the size of the marker that will be plotted on the chart.
So let's see. To do so first, we have to change the chart type. And for that, we will right click on the chart change chart type we'll select the third option the 3d one that gives us a better look which also provides the value sets as well where the value will be used to show the size of that particular marker. And once the parameters are set, we go to the Design tab. With the chart selected, then select data and add data. Here we do require some parameters.
So as of now series name is not required, but we can see a marker already appearing. That's because this one, one variable has been put in, now comes the x value. So I'll go to the data and that is the actual data and we'll select the entire x value over here. Then coming back to the Y, we will be selecting the Y constant that is latitude to Once done, just select the percentage and click on OK automatically the data has been plotted. Now as it is a negative and position as the size varies, it's totally okay. Now the question becomes how to remove these lines and then plot them?
Exactly. If we see from the map itself, let me show you. If I go to google map and if I put in zero longitude and zero latitude that is 00. Bringing to a point Now, if I zoom out we can see where that is actually positioned. So in our case, the map 00 has to be positioned exactly here to let's check it in our Excel file. So here Currently, the pointer is quite far from where it should be.
So we will do the adjustment from the axis settings. So select one of the axis. So let's select the axis in such a way with the dot exactly to the center as needed. So let's see how we can set this particular 0.0 at the exact point where the map shows, so it's not needed to be exact or at least appropriate. So let's keep the cursor on the axis and right click and from axis settings and adjust by some minor tweaks, let's say I'll just increase it to 190. So that extends a little bit to the right.
And I'll just adjust this somewhat 00 that is somewhere in the middle over here. I'll need it a little bit to the right. So I'll make this 200 Okay, it will be negative 200 it should be not be automatic, it should be 190. I cannot have it cannot be automatic, automatic will automatically reset the data. So it's an actual fit 190 will not do so just have to adjust a little bit more. Let's tweak this a little over here.
And so I'll reduce it to say 190 over here negative 190. My mistake, negative 190. And yeah, that should be I have to reduce it to positive. So I'll keep it to one to 30. And yeah, that's good enough. So I need to raise it.
Little bit higher. So I'll be selecting the second axis to positive 100. That's not what I want. So I'll make it maybe say 90 a little bit more. So, as we can see, 10 is over here, somewhere over here. And so it is negative 70.
So that should be somewhat around negative 65. Yeah, that should do it. So as we can see the axis pointing is just a rough idea, but we do not need the access to be displayed, so we can remove the access. So I'll just close the panel from the drop down. I'll just remove the access lines. So there it is.
We just have some editing left. So I'll just complete this and get back to you to in the next video, do a little bit of fine tuning and you should be good too. I'll just remove the access as well. Yeah, we do not need the access. We just need the plotting. Till then keep practicing.
See you in the next video. Thank you
