Hello everybody. Welcome back to the second dashboard. In this video we will see how to convert the currencies which are in dollars into currency that will be selected by the user. To do so, we will be using the index and match formula to make things easier. I've named my base data that is the base as country code. The heading is country code and the entire currency as country currency.
Let's see how we can use it. I'll go to the first sheet and I'll try to do the formula in such a way that I can copy paste across the sheets if needed. So equals I'll use index and the array is actual range, which is the currency. So I'll go with country currency. I'll use the tab key to complete this particular format. And comma, and now I'm looking for the road data.
Now in the road data That's one below the other so I go with match I'll use the current currency been given out that is US dollars now keep the D column constant I wish to compare it with the base country code and I wish to have the exact answer Once done, close the bracket and which column Am I looking for the column will be decided based on the currency that is selected in the dashboard which I'll be kicking as of now just US dollar that is one okay which I will be updating once the dashboard frame is ready and then we will connect it with the dashboard directly. Till then we'll be using one so I'll close the bracket enter and that should do it and just drag it down. So as we see currently it is giving me only for the US dollar but as for PKR than India so on and so forth.
Now we need to make this summary into the current Conversion we have to multiply. So I'll just go to the formula box. I'll just put in the multiplication symbol and select the basic salary Ctrl Enter to fill up the same formula across the sheets and there it is. Now, the currencies that is the payment given out, the basic salary is converted to the format that the user will be selecting in the future. As for now, it's just following the US dollar, but later it will be converted into the format that the user will be selecting. And to complete this particular format, simply I'll just do it for one sheet, simply copy and paste it to the other format, let's say the other sheet and if you want to do it for multiple sheets, if the format is the same, just hold down the shift key and after copying, select the first sheet hold on to the shift key select the last sheet where the format is the same click on the cell where you want to paste it and just simply paste which automatically will be pasted in all the relevant sheets done.
Just simply drag and you are done with The format. In the next video we will see how to calculate experience group and quarters based on the user. Because experience comes in, slab and quarter is based on which country it belongs or what the user would like to see whether it's January to December or it's April to March. Till then keep practicing. See you in the next video. Thank you
