So let's go back to layer. Next, let's rename our layers. So the first one here is an eyeball. And the second one is an eyeball. So let's, let's shift click on those. And I can hit, I can actually join these, as one, you know, kind of collapse these two names here with Ctrl J, and that will join it together.

And that will add these shapes together. Now the sphere is are both of these. And let's rename that. Just eyes. And then we can do the same thing, just shift click on the two people here, and let's ctrl j to join those. Notice they collapsed.

And we'll rename those people. And this will help just make it a little easier when we go to Boolean out the eyeballs here. So let's go ahead and Boolean let's go to our elephant. Keep our subdivision on Add a Boolean union modifier. And we're going to do the eyeballs. Notice we've got some kind of conflict and going on the eyes.

So you can either turn those off, or what I do is just turn it into wireframe. It just reminds me that a Boolean is taking place there. And then let's go back to elephant modifiers and add another Boolean, you guessed it, this one can be different or union whichever one you want, depending on how you want the eyes to look. But I'm going to do pupil difference. And let's turn those peoples into wireframe. And now we have a cutout of our eyelids there.

And there we go. We've got a cute little elephant. You can also like I was saying you can also do the union, if you want the eyeballs to you know kind of pop out there. So whichever way you want to do that and then Let's go ahead and make sure this is ready to be 3d printed. So notice I called this customized collection. And we're going to leave this just as it is.

Let's scroll it up, right click on it, and duplicate collection. And we can name this one, collapse and inspect. And remember to turn off the top one, that's what we'll go back to if we need to. But right away, we don't need the camera in this one. And we don't need the light. We just need our layers and what I mean by collapse is go into your main layer your elephant, and let's start applying all these modifiers.

So let's just do it from the top down. So our subdivision we can apply our Boolean we can apply and our difference we can apply. So now we no longer need the eyes or the peoples. And we have hopefully a non manifold watertight 3d printable model here, this cute little elephant So let's take it into edit mode. So where we can check our 3d printing toolbox, so tab into edit mode, and let's just hit check, all right, and there are zero non manifold edges. So that's good.

That means it is a watertight shell or the outside perimeter is tight. We have a lot we have 726, zero faces, and two zero edges. We also have some thin faces and some overhanging edges. So let's see what the overhanging ones are first, and I'm going to change that overhang to 55 and just see what's really a danger for my printer. So I just clicked overhang here, and notice we have the same little drop down just a little simpler view. So I'm fine with the feet I think those will 3d print fine.

And what we know from Toy theory this should bridge since it's an arch and the cheeks I don't think we'll have too much of an issue with I think it may droop a little bit but I think it will be okay. The inside of the eye is saying that it's gonna drop. But knowing that it's an arch, I think we're going to be okay. The elephant trunk, this could be an issue, this may be stretching it a little too far. But, you know, maybe we can adjust that. But I'm really worried about the mouth here.

I think this is actually going to 3d print just this tip right here. And it has nothing to support it at all. So it's really exaggerated bridge here. So I think I may have to decrease the smile a little bit to get it to print without supports, I could just add a you know, a custom support here. But I want to do it all just no rafts, no supports kind of designed here. So let's take it back into edit mode, and adjust the mouth and the trunk.

And that's why we keep this customizable collection here. So let's just delete the hierarchy for that. Turn on our customization. And let's mess with our element box. So let's go back into edit mode. And right away we can see, we need to let's go ahead and tackle the mouth.

So zoom in here went a little too far. Grab that one, maybe this one too. And we'll hit g z, and just bring that on backup. So that maybe he's Wow. You know, you could probably get away something like that something kind of like the art of the belly there. Wow.

How's it look? I just look scared, but that's fine with G and Z. Maybe go even more. That's too much. How about that? Maybe in that may be too steep now right here.

So those are little things you got to think about? When designing for 3d printer. I think we can get away with something in that ballpark. You can go to the side. Take it into the wireframe mode. I think we're okay.

With that, let's go back into solid mode and edit mode. And I may take these cheeks up just a little these tests here. So let's shift click on those, hit G and Z and just bring them up ever so slightly. That'll make it a little easier for the printer to print that see we've increased the angle. And let's work on the trunk here so the trunk is going up too far. So let's hit tab.

Make sure we're in edit mode, I'm going to go into lines, grab this one, and this one. Or maybe, maybe we can go into in this one. This is a good effect. If you want to go into kind of see through mode. You can do a box select around a whole region there. And I'm going to unselect these two by holding Ctrl Click Looking those so that D selected it with kind of like a D selection box.

And notice I've got everything that I want grabbed here, go into side mode. And let's hit rotate. And we're only going to rotate on the x&y since we're in the side kind of orthographic view. So notice that's working pretty good. We need to just bring up the angle ever so slightly. And then let's grab it and slide it on the Y until it kind of evens back up.

Oh, yeah, so that's definitely gonna 3d print. And now you can put like a little flower or something maybe in there, who knows. And so yeah, so that should fix that 3d printing part right there. We've kind of got a pretty exaggerate ear thing going on, but I think that will work. So I think that fix it. I think that's gonna be our mouth issue and our trunk and our tusks there.

And the reason I want you to stay in this customized kind of style is because if you're ever working for yourself or for a client there gonna want changes and it's gonna be to your best interest to be to be able to easily be like, yeah, sure, we can do that. And then be very flexible in your design because you literally can do anything. So let's go ahead I'm happy with this. I think this is kind of like rendition number two. And let's go ahead and save, go back into our solid view or non see through view and go back to object mode. And let's right click on this and duplicate collection again.

And this is just the workflow that you'll be doing most the time. So we'll be let's call this collapse and inspect and turn off our top one. Now let's go We don't need our camera and we don't need our light. So I'm just going to shift click those right click and delete. Now let's go to our main object here our elephant and let's just apply the, the modifiers in the order we created them. So we'll do the subdivision.

We'll do the union bullying And we'll do difference bullying. And so now we can get rid of those layers, those helper layers. And we've got it. We've got hopefully a non manifold watertight, happy elephant ready for 3d printing. So let's check it out and inspect it.
