Hi there, Michael here with another video. This is video number three of your free video training. And in the previous video I promised that I was going to give you a strategy on how to become extremely successful online instructor. That means having a profit generating online teaching business. I've got two amazing strategies for you. But before we get into that, I would like to recap what you've learned so far because if you have been following this video training from video number one to up until now, you've made great progress and I would like to congratulate you.

In video number one, we talked about the biggest problem people Who would like to monetize their blogs, nonfiction ebook authors incomplete beginners have when it comes to teaching online or starting an online teaching business. And that problem is, I don't know where to start, or I don't know what to teach. First. I gave you very specific information on mega niches, sub niches, ideas from what to teach idea validation cheat sheet. And also, we talked about the importance of narrowing your niche down. in video number two, we talked about the biggest fear people face when it comes to starting an online teaching business.

And this is I'm afraid that people will not like my content. This is the number one fear that's holding so many people, a lot of people holding them back from success. I gave you my tactics and techniques that allow me to receive over 2000 positive reviews can generate 10s of thousands of dollars. And by the way, these are ready to implement. And let's switch to my laptop right now. I want to start with something very important. Basically, there are two ways to profit from your online courses. The first one is to use online platforms for education, which are marketplaces and the second way is to self host your courses on your own school. There are pieces of software that will allow you to self host your courses, for example, teachable. I often hear people arguing which platform is better Udemy or teachable?

Well, there is no place for comparison here, because we're talking about two different models. teachable is a software service that helps you self host your courses, but they are not a marketplace. That means you will have to do all the marketing yourself list building email sequences, sales funnels, driving traffic, paying for ads, etc, etc. And I'm not saying these are bad things on the contrary, what I'm saying is that it is harder to start your online teaching business when you self host your courses. On the other hand, Udemy is a marketplace. They have a student base of over 12 million students.

And that number is growing fast. These students are browsing Udemy because they're looking for courses that will solve the problems they have. I personally use both models. For example My regular courses are on Udemy and other marketplaces for online courses. On the other hand, my premium programs are not available anywhere else besides my own teachable school, so you cannot find my step by step your first 1000 students premium program on Udemy or Skillshare, or any other marketplace, there is no need of arguing which model is better. Obviously, they both work.

But when you self host your courses, you need to have a solid marketing experience and a higher budget to get started. Otherwise, you will be spending a lot of time and effort into creating video content, but you won't make any sales. On the other hand, you can start with marketplaces for online courses such as Udemy Skillshare, amazing incurious in creating income streams for your business. Because again, there are students there waiting for your courses and if you combine them All of the students in these marketplaces, we are talking about 10s of millions of students. After you create a few income streams, you'd be able to reinvest a small portion of your income and create your signature online course, and self hosted if you want on teachable, for example. So what I'm saying here is that if you are a complete beginner with online courses in chances are you are, it's best to start small and build from there.

This is the most flexible way to start. Let's get started with the nitty gritty. Before you become a successful online instructor, you will have to overcome the most common self limiting beliefs. And most of the time these are nothing more than myths. But you should know about them because they might be holding you back. Number one, I won't make any money because I don't have an email list.

I hear that all the time. Yes, that's true. True. But when we talk about self hosted courses, and not when we talk about marketplaces for online courses with millions of students hungry for your knowledge, so again, you don't need to have an email list to reach 2000 4000 or $5,000 per month. Obviously, having in growing an email list is great for any business. But it is not a prerequisite for success for the business model I teach.

Number two, I'm camera shy. I totally get this one. But here is the thing. I have generated over 50,000 years dollars without showing my face on camera. I was just recording my screen by using a screen capturing software and you've got many options there. You can also go with a free one.

You don't need to show your face to make great income streams with online courses. You will need however to record your voice All we're creating video lectures, which leads me to self limiting belief number three, I am afraid that people are not going to like my accent, please don't tell me that just hear my accent. I spent seven years learning English. And you can still tell that I am not a native English speaker. I am Bulgaria, Bulgaria is a Slavic country. We have very hard sounds in our alphabet.

And it is extremely hard for me not to use them in my speech. Number four, I don't have money for ads. Let's say you're one of my VIP students, and you're just starting out. Even if you had a marketing budget, I wouldn't allow you to spend it on ads, which focus on building integrated marketing strategies that will help you get more paid students or increase the monetary value of your current students. And guess what the strategies of free To implement number five and not a technical savvy, well, you don't have to be in order to create online courses. Remember, you will be using screen capture software to record the slides of a presentation, you will record the voiceover in, then you will combine the two files.

I mean, that's super simple when you have the right tools. It has nothing to do with complex video editing projects. They are already in the learning in buying mode. In fact, you can become a successful online instructor even if you don't have a Twitter or Facebook account. Alright, since we got these myths out of our way, now it is time to focus on the top two strategies that will help you build a solid An online teaching business. The first strategy I want to discuss with you is building a student base on each platform you teach. This is critically important, and it should be your main focus. For example, I have thousands of students on Udemy alone.

And this is important because when I launch a new course, I send a promotional announcement to these students and let them know that I have a new course and some of them some of these students will enroll, which means fresh income on Udemy. Promotional announcements are a big deal. But that's only if you have a student base. To give you an idea, when they sent such a promo announcement, I made $204 in 24 hours. That's incredible when you consider that it is as easy as writing your promo email. Another example is Skillshare.

I've got thousands of students there as well and when they launch new course, my students receive a notification, which is super powerful because it helps my courses run well and make more money. As you can see on the screen, here is the option post to all fours. When you click it, you will have two options. The first one is simply to pause the discussion without sending an email to your followers. But the second option is to pause the discussion and send an email to your force. And this is how you can promote your future courses.

Your blog posts your ebook, well, it is free, and still, it wouldn't be very smart to promote Udemy courses on Skillshare or Skillshare courses on Udemy. The most important thing you have to remember here is relevancy. These students are in your student base because they have enrolled in your courses. And if you teach Photoshop, don't send them an email with weight loss problems. This is a huge disconnect. But if you have a blog, and you wrote a blog post three essential Photoshop tools that will save you time while editing an image.

Yes, you can definitely send it to your Skillshare students and ask questions, ask questions because this is the best way to engage with your audience. Again, the more you grow your student base, the more marketing influence you will have. And I want to make a point here, so you can get a bit of encouragement. Every online instructor on Skillshare starts with zero followers and builds from there. Another platform that I started recently is called curious calm. I uploaded the lectures I've already created for Udemy and Skillshare.

And started making income there as well. But guess what? My focus is on building a following a student base. As you can see, I'm just starting out on curious Don't have thousands of students as on the first two platforms I showed you. But that doesn't matter, because my focus is not on a quick win. Instead, my focus is on a long term profit generating strategy.

All right, I believe we're clear on strategy number one, building a student base must become your priority. When we talk about online teaching businesses. That's because your students are your customers, your courses or your products. And the more you grow your student base, the more people you will have to market your new courses. This is how you build a residual income. Yes, residual.

It's not passive. It has a snowball effect. It's not linear. Let's talk about strategy number two. If you take a look at the biggest businesses in the world, you will notice many things in common but probably one of the most important characteristics is that these businesses don't just sell Only one product. They sell many products.

They have product lines. Take a look at Apple, for example. You have iPod, iPhone, iPad, iMac, smartwatches, etc. Look at Google. I mean, I cannot even tell how many products they have unbelievable range of products. How about Samsung smartphones, smart TVs, all kinds of electronics and so on.

Of course, I won't teach you how to build a business like apple or Samsung. In fact, I don't know how. But what I do know is how to build an online teaching business that brings residual income every month. The point I'm making here is that you need to create several online courses or products for your online business. This is how you will grow your student base. This is how you will reach four figures per month consistently.

And here's the thing, create these online courses on a very similar topic. Let them be part of one mega Nish. That way it's going to be super easy to cross promote your courses and the students you have in course number one, we will be interested in course number two, because we are talking about very similar topics. This is super powerful. Let me give you an example. I teach courses on copywriting, which is under the marketing in business magazine.

I have a course on headline writing, I have a course on converting features into benefits that sell I have a course on the psychology of your irresistible offer. I have a course on questions your prospects have, but will never ask. These are for courses on copywriting in the students who want to learn how to write effective in winning titles are interested to know how to convert the features of their products into benefits that sell. They are also interested in how to craft irresistible offers so they can see More. If you follow this approach, you would position yourself as an expert in your industry, your authority would go through the roof, and most importantly, you would make a lot of cash. These are the two strategies I follow in hundreds of online instructors follow but don't share.

Again, we're talking long term here. So that information shouldn't sound overwhelming. You don't need to sit down and create five courses. No, we will start with baby steps in move forward.
