So we're going through the steps on how to create a PowerPoint I've mentioned to you first step, write down in one sentence, what is it, you actually want your audience to do? The next step brainstorming all the possible message points and narrow it down to your top five, do that on a piece of paper or a blank computer screen. You don't need PowerPoint for that. Next, my recommendation is come up with a compelling example case study a story that really flushes out each one of your message points. Then, and only then when I think about slides, now that's when you need to start thinking about your slides to amplify your key messages. Think of this in that sequence and it will solve a lot of problems if you just start creating lots of slides.
Lots of data, lots of bullet points. It's too late. You're already under quicksand and there's no way of coming back.
