One of the areas it's important to have gas when we're looking at essential fatty acids is the era of depression and mental health issues. And so, again, studies have shown and researchers shown through my own practice that when people increase the HPA EPA Amiga three, they find that depression can become reduced if not go away. And also mood is more balanced longer term, and emotions are more balanced longer term. And so things like sad seasonal affective disorder, which can happen during the darker colder months. And throughout the year these days as we're, you know, not having that influx hot weather during the summer. We find that sad is on the increase and depressions on the increase as a result of that.

So we might want to think about okay levels of tha GPA based on the individual's case of that and the family history. So if there is mental health issues in the family, and there are problems already with balancing mood, then there needs to be an increase on essential fatty acids longer term. And maybe that may have kind of happened from a very early age and so from may have had breakthroughs in pregnancy may part mood issues, and also prior to conception, there may be a greater need for that baby or that toddler to have the essential fatty acids much earlier on. And they do need them daily is something that's essential for the diet. And if a child isn't breastfed and is not getting their source of essential fatty acids through the process or the weaning process, then it may lead them to be overweight or overeating cravings for the wrong fats, but also mood issues and depression is coming into children.

Then then used to be really so we want to be thinking about, okay, how does that child function and what's the history and with babies now they may get tha through the milk breastfeeding process, but only if the mother has looked after that within her own diet. So we're going to be thinking about sacrament in these Toddlers and Babies with the right levels under the guidance of a naturopath. And levels may vary from individual but there are some general really great supplements out there for babies and toddlers. We can work on gha, BPA, the long term benefits of that for the time these children get to sort of teenage years, it leaves them with a more balanced hormone system or nervous system so they're more tolerant of stress is less addictions longer term. And also they find that they their brain function and tolerate more stress when studying for exams, etc.

And there's less need for substance abuse and all the things that go alongside when when someone's deficient in fatty acids, there's always an increase in addictive behavior. So if we can sort that out earlier on then teenage phase is a much happier phase. And then as we become adults during fertility phases or breastfeeding, and also menopause, male and female metaphors, those transitions in life become happier ones when those are less stressful for people because when essential fatty acids are low, those transitions become extremely difficult and can be to leave people feeling there's long term health symptoms and emotional symptoms of play. So when the omega threes are high serotonin increases and there's an ability to feel like you're more balanced especially during the darker colder months and so it becomes more bearable in those into the darker colder climates. And of course, people who rely on sun holidays or improving their serotonin to the bitumen D, for example.

But in order to absorb vitamin D, we do need much more omega three in the diet. And so vitamin D is fat soluble, we need the omega three to absorb vitamin D, and to really balance those hormones out longer term. And so we can see how this the depression and mental health disorders have been on the increase due to maybe quite big deficiencies in the diet. And of course, emotional health is important and stress has an impact on mental health. But if the chemistry of the body is not right through because of deficiencies, then emotional work doesn't really heal the body completely. You have to do a combination of the two things correcting the deficiencies and emotional health support And so this can be an area that becomes very exciting to work with because Amiga three can be wonderful for resolve in mental health issues and ADHD is something that's can have good results with correct levels of d. h. a, and working with the EPA, and also working with exposures and autism, again, through studies and through personal experience my practice, when we increase tha and EPA with these types of personalities, it can really make a huge difference to resolve in some symptoms if not correcting those deficiencies at a brain level.
