So in this last section on techniques, I'd like to give the message that doing the techniques too often can be detrimental or counterproductive. So doing them enough to improve your lifestyle, improve your energy and detoxification, but not really not doing to the point where it can appear that it's to do them to match. So, in regards to as animals for example, or colonics if we do enemas too often, there is a chance that you actually reduce your mineral status. So the electrolyte balance can go after after balance, and also we can become lower magnesium and become low in probiotics if we overdo these methods. And when I say reduce, I'm talking about every day you know, and especially with water enemas, you could probably do them weekly, and that will be totally safe. But when we do techniques too often, just like when we detoxify too quickly, your body will get depleted.
And so our general method To use a series of three consecutive compasses or enemas three days a week for three weeks and then have a week break, and to then assess where your body is at. So doing things in a series of three is Jen is a general naturopathic principle. But I wouldn't be recommending if you, for example, do one animal and then the next day you feel quite low in energy wouldn't say do another one again, then you'd want to be sensible with your how you feel, is the same with compasses. If someone finds that they feel nauseated or headachy. After the conquest, I don't recommend another one and then a third one, you don't want to be having a break and then go back to that as a later stage. And you might find due to personal circumstances due to the season that you're in, and etc.
You might want to keep a diary to see where you feel during different times of the year different times of the month, especially remember their period cycle, to see what works for you and what techniques work gets in particular circumstances. So first of all, choosing a technique that you're drawn to that you find really beneficial. Secondly, time of the day time with the men and time of the year, that's all really relevant. And thirdly, using the technique safely, so not overusing it. And when it comes down to things like coffee enemas, or cut omics, they're very deep techniques where they used to really create a lot of change in the system. And they can be great for chronic illness, they feature someone who's generally well, you may not need to do it's such a strong technique.
And if you do well, it may be that you need one every season, so every three months or every six months, rather than every, you know, every week. And so you're thinking about the individual at this stage. And if you're unsure, you can always consult a practitioner. And so when you're, you've chosen your technique, you can incorporate that into your regular lifestyle and thinking about the three stages of treatment. To choose to hydrate and get a fluid rich diet, a diet that's suitable for your lifestyle, and then improve in our detoxification through the naturopathic techniques. When we detoxify, it creates more space within the system to help the absorption of nutrients.
And so there has to be a detoxification process before rebuilding process. And if we put supplementation into a body that's quite congested and dehydrated, the body would just get more stressed. So we want to be thinking about reducing stress, longer term, and anything that creates free German movement within the mind, emotions, the spiritual house, but also the physical health, and that creates lightness. And when you you're thinking about a method that we're teaching you throughout these sessions, you want to be thinking about does this make me feel more stressed or less stressed? And I would ask that question to everything that you're working with in life because stress is its creates adrenalin and therefore, stagnation in the body really. And so we want to be thinking about when we're making the choice to do anything in life, whether it be physical, or practically, is this choice actually reducing our stress level long term.
And if we can think about life in those terms, it can make a big difference to how we feel on a physical level. In terms of flexibility and movement in the system, when we're talking about stagnation, we're talking about stagnating the kidneys and the heat and the fluid levels. And the impact of that is fear and loss of power really in the system. So when we're working with the water element in the Chinese system, we're talking about reducing the and increasing the flow in the system. So the long term balance within the body really depends on how much stress is going in through our diet, but also through our life. So
