So, what we want to speak about now is giving your body what it needs. And what I mean by this is when you actually optimize and you hydrate that your system will take you towards what's needed. So any cravings that come up usually are positive cravings, such as you know, wanting a green juice or wanting beer, essential fatty acids, or thinking like you know, you need to go out for a walk in the middle of the day and feeling like your body's telling you starting to listen to what's needed for for the body. I think what's interesting is when we become acidic, through a process diet or a high meat diet, and we don't drink enough water, we start to become cut off from what needs and one of the key things is when we're lacking in water and have been for a long time, our first will naturally switch off and then just and then that, you know, we're very dehydrated, but we don't feel thirsty.
So it may feel the same with diet as well. You know, when we're dehydrate To return processed food, we can't switch off our food intake or we feel like we can't satisfy the P ting habits and feel like you know, it's never enough sort of thing. So what's interesting is when we blend regulate the blood sugar when we're eating gluten free, and a low sugar diet, you find that your appetite decreases and you eat less food and you feel more satisfied. And that could be a really good benefit. You know, apparently, when we're low in essential fatty acids, we can eat 60% more than we need. So it really eating twice as much as we need in that scenario.
So useful things you know, long term is to think about the hydration long term, the essential fatty acids long term and working with detoxifying the liver every season. So your body doesn't get too congested. Because again, what's interesting is when the livers congested there's an inability to balance the blood sugar and so the pleasure can't write, they still eat more than we need and it starts to be, we start to find that the old cravings creep back in. So, the minute the liver function goes down, so does the blood sugar, which then has a knock on effect on our cravings. So first thing is starting to crave acid form in foods, again, a half a pint of water there and then think about what you can get into the body that some clients and and then think also about how to detoxify the liver, you may need to compress with Castrol you may need to green juice depending on how you feel.
In some cases, you know, you may need to have a few days where you're actually just eating whole foods so that you become much more alkaline more quickly and that can really shift the cravings. And also thinking about you know, your emotional state, you know, could that be something you need to speak about? Get out in the open that can really impact cravings as well. And so often one would have been upset or emotional upset, then We may find a way to non emotional level also, that can really affect the long term how you know, weight gain and sluggishness, etc. So we're addressing the emotions as well as the physical health and thinking about Quick quick changes that you can incorporate to change that pH in the body and change the alkalinity in the system. Those are the key things hydration and alkalizing really helps with long term keeping to the diet and keeping to your lifestyle.
So just feel sort of vibrant on a generally daily basis really, and the naturopathic techniques may come in every so often in order to create that shift in energy in busy or if you found that certain foods have crept back in You mean the naturopathic techniques seasonally or weekly from those who start to detoxify. So making sure you know long term things are put into place, you know, daily things key people do functioning well. And that you're thinking ahead, you know, through eating out in restaurants, you know, maybe bringing the restaurant in advance, letting them know that you want to be gluten free, and bacon or whatever it is that you're following so that you've got some choices. And you know if that fails, if it's an ad hoc sort of call into a restaurant, then they can always be salads, vegetables, you know, there's always something that you can have on the menu is just changing your habits around what you're ordering what you what you're eating, and thinking about, you know, if you are craving a happy meal, after you've sufficiently hydrated, you know, do you need to have a juice first before you choose your options.
And so you're actually feeling the blood sugar's a bit more balanced before you order. And the same with the shopping you know, try and have a good meal that's healthy before you go out and do your weekly shop. Because it tends to be that what you're buying then would be a bit more violence and you won't over shop for the wrong things at that time. And also what's interesting is that the lunar effects of full moons can bring about cravings and that's really biochemical thing based on body fluid. So body fluids can drop during the full moon. And we all know about how the moon affects the tides and the sea.
So the body acts in the same similar way the foreman pulls on the body fluids, which has a direct influence on the fats and the electrolytes, the minerals. And so if you find that certain times of the month aggravate you, you may need to put certain things in place like extra magnesium extra essential fatty acids, working with the morning pushes me around for maybe taking more rest. So long goto meeting, you know what your body's pattern is, and it's classic that you know, the full moon may coincide also with a period or finding that the coincides with the energy for some people. So, making sure you're not overdoing too in those times. Falling nourished can be really beneficial. And then longer term, there might be a time of the month that you fast.
So there might be one day a week or a couple of days in the month where you might actually incorporate fasting techniques like juicing for a day or doing a water fast. And that many cultures incorporate that technique and it can be so beneficial long for long term health, because you not only rest in the digestive system, but you're also creating more creative energy and spiritual energy by rest in the whole mind body emotional connection. So you're allowing the system to actually take the space and time to, to notice what's going on for you What's going on on an internal in an internal way. So understanding what your body needs at those points in time. So there's lots of things that you can be thinking about, ahead of, you know, the long term health the fast in the Lincoln With seasonality and thinking about how we're affected by lunar cycles, if you're really interested in astrology, there's a lot more information out there on that, that can really, really bring highlighted lots of things that may be coming up for you throughout the month.
And it can help you to identify in what is your peak time of the month and what may be your low time and to really plan ahead then for those times
