You've heard me say you're not charging enough. But it does raise the question. What should you charge I can't tell you the perfect number for you and your industry, you're going to have to do some research, my advice would be, find out what the top people, the most successful people in your industry are charging, find out how they charge and find out what they're offering. And if you're clearly not as experienced as they are, and you're not doing everything they do, do something that's a little bit less than that. So if there is price sensitive, but the point is, aim for the top, look at the top, look at what the most successful people are doing. Not necessarily your friends, not necessarily the people you know, who are just sort of scraping by and getting by.
That's not what you want to do focus on the people who are most successful in any field. There are people who charge very little and there are people who charge a great Deal. I know people in my field, and they'll charge $100 a day. Now typically they're retired their houses paid for they have a pension, they're retired schoolteacher, something like that, and they're just looking for something to do to keep them occupied. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever, not criticizing it. But it just doesn't relate to me and it's not something that's going to help me run a successful business.
So, compare. Find out what people are doing. Ask, ask potential clients what they've paid for in the past, and get a sense of it. And then once you come up with something, figure out what it is and learn how to ask for it. without seeming or sounding embarrassed.
