Wildly productive, successful people have hobbies. It's not just that they take time off. It's not just that they socialize. It's not just that they attend parties occasionally. It's not just that they take vacations. They actually have hobbies.
Winston Churchill famously, not only painted, but his hobby was building brick walls and building structures with a brick. You'd love to be a brick Mason. That doesn't strike me as a lot of fun, but he seemed to enjoy it doesn't matter if it's stamp collecting, capturing butterflies, drawing, playing the flute on Monday nights in a band in your town. productive people want something that takes them away from their current day to day world and into another space. It does something to the brain. It's rewarding to the life and because they will organize because they're focused.
They have the time For hobbies, if you have no time for hobbies, it means you're doing a horrible job of managing your actions on a day to day basis. So if you don't have a hobby, I urge you find one. Now your hobby could be sports. My hobby, in essence is playing tennis which I play a fair amount spending time with my daughter. So it doesn't have to be as something as stereotypical as stamp collecting, but make sure it's something that is away from your normal work your normal area of productivity, and that you enjoy. Do that you'll be a happier person.
Ultimately, you will be a more productive person.
