There are many, many ways of learning these days. Obviously online courses everywhere. I'm a big fan of that. Your podcasts, there's YouTube videos for every subject matter. You can imagine. Google has an answer to almost everything.
There's Wikipedia, free books on Google Play near free books on Amazon unlimited. But when you look at all the different media, all the different outlets there is one source that I find the most productive people spend the most time and that is reading books. Doesn't have to be a paper book can be a completely electronic book. But here's what I've noticed about wildly productive people. They read everything every genre, nonfiction fiction, novels, mysteries, military history, you know, they have absolutely no interest in military history. They have wildly eclectic taste because they realize He can learn something and not instantly see how this connects to something else over here.
But over time when you read enough books from enough different subjects, it all comes together, it gives you a more comprehensive unified theory of the world of people have culture of society that makes you more productive. It might not help you create a better widget or app tomorrow or next week. But at some point, it makes you a more interesting person, a more thoughtful person. And ultimately, that does lead you to be a more productive person. Sometimes it's just simply a matter of being able to have a conversation with someone at a cocktail party or an event or a social occasion. And that leads to a collaboration later on.
So being able to talk about a mystery writer you both share in common as far as being a fan might leave You to collaborate on a tech project six months later. You don't know that at the time when you're reading this mystery. But it all fits together. lifelong learners, and highly productive people are not looking at something just to help them build this app tomorrow or just to learn this artificial intelligence program. Tomorrow. They're doing it because they have a thirst for knowledge, a thirst for learning.
And that's why they read books in every single subject imaginable.
